Logging Miles

Prior to November 11, 2017 Junior Marathon participants must run and/or walk a total of 25.2 miles. Miles need to be logged, with the help of an adult, using an official Junior Marathon Mileage log (download in pdf).

Participants may divide up the mileage however they like, although it is suggested that they log a mile at a time. Participants must complete their mileage under adult supervision. Special events to help participants earn mileage will be offered throughout the summer and fall, including the Elementary Cross Country Series. Other events will be posted on this site, so stay tuned.

Official Race Number

In order to receive your Official Junior Marathon Race Number, you must (1) Register for the Junior Marathon and (2) complete and log 25.2 miles prior to November 11. At packet pick up, Friday, November 10, we will ask you to present your mileage log, showing the completion of 25.2 miles. At that time, you will receive your official race number, t-shirt, and goody bag. Pin your race number to the front of the shirt you will wear for the Last Mile. Medallions will be given only to those children who cross the finish line wearing an official Junior Marathon race number. We recommend pinning the number on the shirt the night before.
